Therapists
I believe in a genuine, non-judgemental stance to my counselling practice. I use a person-centred approach, meaning I support clients in tapping into their strengths to make positive changes in their lives, build resilience and achieve their true potential. I’m calm and compassionate, and believe in instilling warmth and humour in my work. I’ve worked with both individual and couples clients facing a wide range of concerns from anxiety, depression, trauma, cultural issues, bereavement, infertility and relationship issues. I tailor my therapeutic approach to each client’s needs, drawing from solutions-focused therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other therapies. I also use my Gottman Method Couples Therapy training to help individuals build connection and grow their relationships. I‘m British but have lived and worked in six countries across four continents so I understand the issues associated with living outside one’s home country. I speak French and Spanish - if either of these is your mother tongue - although I admit that my comprehension skills are currently much better than my speaking. I’m a Registered Counsellor with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’m committed to offering a service that is welcoming to all backgrounds in a supportive and non-discriminatory manner. I work in private practice offering both face-to-face counselling and online counselling. I hold a Masters degree in Counselling from Monash University, Australia.
