I’m a psychodynamic psychotherapist working privately and in the NHS across a wide range of issues with people from different backgrounds. I provide a confidential, empathetic and non-judgmental space for you to find effective ways to manage your difficult feelings and relationships; to find deeper awareness and understanding of yourself and your recurring patterns and ways of stopping your unhelpful patterns - often rooted in the past - dictating your future. So you can achieve a more resilient sense of self and live a more authentic, fulfilled life. While the past influences everything, it need not dictate anything.

I work with adults of all ages, backgrounds and identities. I help people address a wide range of issues such depression, anxiety and stress; low self-esteem and self-sabotaging thoughts and behaviours; loss, grief and bereavement; persistent feelings of sadness, emptiness, emotional numbness, stuckness, guilt, anger, hate, envy, and jealousy; obsessive and compulsive behaviours and intrusive thoughts; difficulties in making and sustaining good relationships; navigating difficult work and life transitions; identity issues such as feeling confused, not knowing, understanding or liking yourself, or coping with the projections of others onto your identity; feelings of having to ‘mask’ the true self; feeling like an outsider, lacking connection/intimacy with others, amongst many other difficult, often complex and uniquely personal issues. Once you get in touch by email, text or phone message, we will find a time to speak briefly about what you are looking for to make sure it is something I can help you with. If I feel I can help and it feels right for you, we will then set up a 50-minute consultation. In that consultation, you will get to experience how I work as we explore in more detail your issues and whether we both feel it is likely to be beneficial for you to work with me as your psychotherapist. Reaching that view can sometimes take more than a single consultation. I offer regular sessions between one and three times weekly, typically on an open-ended basis. Fees are £80 per therapy session/consultation.
